Kyoho 2024 ex

Price: ¥2,750
Light red wine, 750ml, resin cork, 10.3% ABV, Kyoho grapes from Shimoichi-cho, Yoshino-gun, Nara Prefecture, and Kyoho grapes from Ikaruga-cho, Ikoma-gun, Nara Prefecture, among others. Natural fermentation, no chaptalization, no added sulfites. 2024 was a good year for Kyoho grapes destined for wine, but a difficult year for table grapes. Normally, vineyards on slopes that yield good grapes saw them become small or wilt prematurely due to water stress from the dry summer. As a result, many were diverted for winemaking. The Kyoho grapes from Shimoichi-cho, Yoshino-gun, are seeded grapes from Mr. Takemoto, while those from Ikaruga-cho, Ikoma-gun, are seedless grapes from Mr. Tsukahara, along with a small amount of other table grape varieties. After destemming and crushing, the grapes underwent a traditional red wine fermentation. Charming aromas of strawberry and pear. Although light, it is a satisfying wine with a smooth drinking experience. It can be kept in the refrigerator for about a week after opening. Pairs well with roast beef and Camembert cheese.
