Nara Wine Bailey A 2025

Price: ¥2,970
Red wine, 750ml, 11.7% alcohol, made with Muscat Bailey A grapes from Heguri Town, Ikoma District, Nara Prefecture, synthetic cork, no capsule, sulfites added, no chaptalization, approximately 400 bottles produced.

This red wine is made using Muscat Bailey A grapes grown by Okuda Grape Farm in Heguri Town.
We specifically requested Mr. Okuda to harvest the grapes late.
It is 100% whole bunch fermented.
It has just a hint of acetic acid and tastes slightly sweet.

This is a rich and well-balanced wine that's hard to believe is made from 100% whole-bunch Muscat Bailey A.
The candy-like aroma is quite subdued, but it still has enough of the characteristic strawberry notes to be easily identified as Muscat Bailey A.
When we served it at a recent event, many people asked for seconds.

Pairs well with sukiyaki and simmered dishes.
